To the north is Palm Springs and Indio with amazing shopping, restaurants, and casinos. Head west for about 2 hours and you hit San Diego for a cooler, beach atmosphere with a lively downtown. About the same distance east is the Colorado River and Lake Havasu for a great place to spend the summer on the water boating and enjoying water sports. Then lastly, you can go down south just a quick drive and arrive in Mexico for all sorts of adventures.
